If you’ve ever donated clothes before, you know the deal. The pants you bought two years ago and still haven’t worn, the shoes that are no longer in style, the shirt that just doesn’t fit right anymore or is so worn that it’s no longer acceptable to wear in public — all the unwanted items get thrown together and hauled off to the nearest consignment store in hopes that they’ll find a better life with someone else.

But, have you ever thought about the people who sort through your discards and help give them new lives? That’s us.

Impact Vintage Cofounders Teal and Candy work at Dress for Success Austin, where clothing donations occupy more than half the office. Every day, we get amazing, generous professional clothing donations that give our clients the confidence they need to take their careers to the next level. But, we also get a lot of clothing that we’d never advise anyone to wear to an interview. That’s where Impact Vintage comes in.

We hand picked all the coolest, most unique pieces from the ‘non-professional’ donation bank and created a clothing brand for Austin, from Austin. We call it she-cycling. No clothing goes to waste, 100% of the proceeds go back to Dress for Success Austin and the women in our community, and you get to rock fabulous, affordable vintage looks that give back. Problem(s) solved.
